Shari's Berries was founded in 1989 when Shari Fitzpatrick decided to pursue her dream of creating the world's greatest chocolate dipped strawberries. The concept for Shari's Berries came about while Shari was working in Los Angeles as a mortgage broker. As a broker, she began giving realtors baskets of chocolate dipped strawberries to get their attention and gain their business. Today, there are five Shari Berries stores including four in Sacramento, one in Los Angeles, and her products are distributed nationwide via their award-winning web site Berries.com.
Shari attributes her success to a quality product, excellent customer service and creative promotional marketing activities. Her hard work and diligence paid off when the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce named Shari "2001 Sacramento Business Woman of the Year."
Shari’s Berries irresistible gourmet chocolate dipped strawberries, creative, high-style packaging, and new products continue to keep Shari and her staff on their toes – especially during traditional gift-giving holidays. In addition to her product development and marketing duties as Founder, Shari is busy raising a family of four boys, including three young ones and one old enough to be her husband (which he is most of the time). Shari credits her success to three simple priorities: God first, family second, work third. A proven formula that never fails!
